ESO Champion Points — every star, datamined

All 118 Champion Point stars across the three constellations, with their exact per-stage values straight from the game data — and which are slottable vs passive. The CP system rebalances with patches and every guide hard-codes it; we datamine it instead.

How Champion Point investment works across the three constellations

Champion Points are earned separately from character level and can be invested into any star in any of the three constellations, regardless of your class or role. There's no requirement to finish one constellation before spending points in another, so most builds end up with points spread across Craft, Warfare, and Fitness based on what a given role needs — a healer, for example, typically leans harder into Warfare's slottable healing stars and Fitness's survival stars than into Craft.

Because slottable stars compete for a limited number of slots per tree while passive stars don't, a common approach is to fully invest in the passive stars relevant to your role first (since they always apply once invested), then decide which slottable stars are worth taking one of the limited slots in that tree. The Build Generator on this site automates that second decision by picking four slottable stars per tree per role and linking each one to its datamined star page.

Since the exact per-stage values of every star are pulled from datamined game files rather than typed in by hand, the numbers you see on each star's page reflect the current patch rather than a guide written months or patches ago. If you're checking a specific star's value for theorycrafting, it's worth opening that star's own page rather than relying on a general description, since per-stage scaling can differ meaningfully between stars even within the same constellation.

Common questions

How many Champion Point stars can I have slotted at once?

Each constellation (Craft, Warfare, Fitness) has its own limited number of slottable star slots, separate from the other two trees. The number of slots available in each tree increases as your total Champion Point level rises, so a low-CP character will have fewer slottable stars active than a high-CP character even if both have invested points in the same stars. Passive stars don't use these slots at all — once you've put points into a passive star, its effect applies automatically regardless of what's slotted.

Can I change which Champion Point stars are slotted without a cost?

Yes. Swapping which stars are slotted in each constellation is free and can be done any time you're out of combat — there's no gold cost or cooldown like there is for a full attribute point respec. This makes it practical to keep different slottable loadouts for different content (e.g. swapping sustain-focused stars for a dungeon and damage-focused stars for a trial) without any permanent commitment.

Do passive Champion Point stars need to be leveled up to take effect?

Passive stars begin contributing as soon as you invest any points into them, and their effect scales up as you add more points, up to that star's maximum. Unlike slottable stars, you never have to actively choose to enable a passive star in a menu — 'passive' here just means it's always on once invested, as opposed to competing for one of the limited slottable slots.
