About ESO Decoded
Who runs ESO Decoded, what is on it, and how its numbers are made.
ESO Decoded is an independent, unofficial reference for The Elder Scrolls Online, built and run by one developer in Las Vegas, Nevada. It exists because AI chatbots and old guides keep quoting ESO numbers that are wrong or several patches out of date, and players act on them.
What is here
The set database (714 sets), every skill line with both morphs side by side (541 skills), Champion Point stars, buffs and debuffs, a build generator and editor, a DPS calculator, a measured meta drawn from real ESO Logs parses, written guides, and an addon section that tells you how to install an addon and whether it still works after the latest update.
How the numbers are made
Set bonuses, skill values and Champion Point effects are datamined game data pulled through UESP's esolog, never typed from memory. Each page shows the date its data was retrieved, and the data is refreshed when the game updates. The live meta counts what top parses actually run. The full discipline, including what we do when sources disagree, is on the methodology page.
What it is not
ESO Decoded is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ZeniMax Online Studios, ZeniMax Media or Bethesda Softworks. See the disclaimer. The site is free to use and is supported by advertising; see the privacy policy for what that involves.
