What “Other” actually means here

“Other” is the datamine's bucket for sets whose acquisition doesn't fit the normal categories — no dungeon, no trial, no zone to farm. In the current data it holds exactly two kinds of set: 2 leveling rewards handed out by the Level Up Advisor, and 8 retired sets whose sources were removed from the game in earlier updates. Most are small 1–4-piece sets built around jewelry and specific weapon types — a much older shape of itemization than today's 5-piece standard.

Level Up Advisor rewards

Prophet's, Broken Soul are granted automatically by the Level Up Advisor as you level a character. They're starter safety nets, not endgame gear: Prophet's is a single-piece Max Health bonus, and the pieces you're given slot alongside whatever you're wearing. You can't farm, buy, or target-drop them — leveling is the only source.

Retired sets — “no longer dropped”

Armor of the Code, Arms of Infernace, Arms of the Ancestors, Giant Spider, Relics of the Physician, Ansur, Relics of the Rebellion, The Destruction Suite, Treasures of the Earthforge all carry the same source line in the datamine: no longer dropped. Their quest, vendor, or drop sources were removed years ago, but the items themselves still exist in the game client — which is why they still appear here, exactly as mined, with their bonuses intact. If an old guide (or a chatbot answering from stale training data) tells you to farm one of these, that's the tell it's out of date; see our methodology for how we keep this list honest, or cross-check any set on UESP's set overview.

An older shape of itemization

None of the 10 is a five-piece. The datamine caps Prophet's at a single equipped piece, Broken Soul and Giant Spider at two, and the retired relic sets at three or four — and most are built around jewelry plus one signature weapon type: Arms of the Ancestors pairs a ring with a bow, The Destruction Suite a ring with flame, frost, or lightning staves, Treasures of the Earthforge a ring with a maul. That jewelry-and-weapon shape predates the five-piece standard every modern dungeon or trial set follows, which is why these entries read so strangely next to current gear.

How to tell whether any set is still obtainable

Every set page here prints its acquisition line exactly as datamined, with the retrieval date stamped at the top. If the source names a zone, dungeon, vendor, or activity, you can go get it today; if it reads “no longer dropped” or “Level Up Advisor”, no amount of farming will produce it. Apply that test to any old guide's recommendation before you commit an evening to it — or start from the full set index, where everything is filterable by how it's actually acquired.
